Adapting, refocusing and aligning our goals

COVID-19 arrived in 2020 to shake our foundations; both personal and professional. Not surprisingly, this led us to make important changes and adjustments to our work structures and professional interactions, and even encouraged us to analyze ourselves and do retrospection exercises.

At Mar Azul we implemented teleworking and project management in a virtual and fully digitized way. By basing our management on processes supported by technological platforms, this leap was not a major challenge and we felt confident that we could continue to provide our clients with an excellent service, successfully overcoming this great limitation. Even during this period, we carried out several bidding processes for clients completely remotely and we reached very promising results while maintaining the transparency of the process and the information.

In parallel, we carry out a retrospective analysis of the company, re-evaluating our purpose, values ​​and objectives in the short, medium and long term. In times of uncertainty, it is common to be reactive and continue operating without really having a vision of the objective and the north that you want to achieve. This is particularly true in the current world situation. In our specific case, we have been able to structure a new strategic plan with the involvement and participation of all the company’s collaborators. In this way, all the collective effort of the company is being focused and oriented towards the same common objective.

This process has not been easy, but thanks to the efforts of each and every one of Mar Azul collaborators, we have already seen short-term results. We are optimistic of a prosperous 2021 both for Mar Azul and for each of our collaborators and we are eager to overcome these new challenges.
