Proyectos Mar Azul is a company certified under the ISO 9001-2015 standard. Therefore, in September, the certifying entity, IGC, carried out our external audit, which resulted in zero findings of non-compliance.
This is the result of continuous improvements and joint commitment with the entire team at Proyectos Mar Azul. We can say with great pride that, since 2014, the IGC company has carried out seven external audits, classified as: follow-up, recertification, renewal, and this latest, restoration, in which we have maintained the results of zero (0) findings of breaches. We have been audited in all the processes that make up our Quality Management System (QMS) and the different projects that remain active in each audit. This fills us with great satisfaction.
These results show us the capacity, the degree of knowledge, and the commitment that all the human resources of Proyectos Mar Azul maintain with the QMS. Specifically, maintaining the necessary controls already established, compliance in each documented process, and performance in each activity carried out. In such way, we comply with the established quality controls, the applicable legal requirements, the requirements of our clients, through the results of the satisfaction surveys carried out with the innovative technological PROCORE tool, which contributes to the good performance of operational processes.
For this restoration audit, the audited processes were:
→ Executive Management (Remotely);
→ Quality Management (Remotely);
→ Design Management (Remotely);
→ Surveying Management (Remotely);
→ Construction Inspection Management (On-site and Remotely);
→ Commercial Management (Remotely);
→ Project Administration Management (On-Site and Remotely); and
→ Management of Safety, Health, Work and Environment (On-site and Remotely).
Due to the pandemic, this time the audit was carried out in two ways: On-site and Remotely, which, through our digitized processes and the correct electronic tools, was a complete success. For this external audit, the audited projects were:
→ Air Sea Worldwide – Commercial – Costa del Este;
→ The Towers – Residential – Punta Paitilla;
→ Hotel La Compañía – Hotel – Casco Antiguo; and
→ Metro Bank – Commercial – Punta Pacifica.
As part of the audit result, the certifying body issues the findings, from which improvements, corrections, and strengths can be obtained. We can highlight with great satisfaction that all the results obtained were strengths and we proceed to share them below:
→ Benefit from the traceability provided by the PROCORE platform;
→ Reduction of the use of paper;
→ Proper signage, order, and cleanliness in the work areas;
→ The participation and commitment of all the personnel of the audited projects;
→ PROCORE management of all project personnel;
→ The weekly and monthly reports of the audited projects;
→ Control of the inspections carried out and compliance with the inspection schedule;
→ Monitoring and control of requests to change projects in PROCORE; and
→ The commitment to the QMS of all audited personnel.
We can only add that the strengths obtained are the result of years of work that intensified and catapulted in 2020 when we faced the unexpected event of the pandemic. Our type of business was part of the national lockdown and it was time to reinvent ourselves and give our very best, demonstrating all the commitment of Proyectos Mar Azul through these results.
